This is the second time that I have used this company. First time was over 30 years ago when we replaced an old asphalt driveway that still has no cracks. This current job consisted of demolition of a concrete patio and roof. Super happy with the result. Matt had some great ideas on the layout and design for the new patio. And he and his crew came in and knocked the job quickly. Never had to worry about them showing up to do the job.

We hired Matt and his team at Whieldon Cement to do cement work and design. We worked closely with Matt on design including new and widened driveway with ribbons, front patio, cement patio with design in the back plus a pony wall. Matt and his team did a fantastic job, we are very satisfied they were always willing to go the extra mile to make things to our expectations. Matt did some work for us years ago, so I was happy to reach out again when we decided to remove a raised garden wall planter next to our driveway and garage to make more space. I’m a big believer in casting a wide net when doing home improvements, and again we found Matt to be the best candidate, taking into account pricing, communications, professionalism, and reliability. In the final analysis, we expanded the work scope to include replacing our aging and cracked driveway.
Several other contractors balked at the necessary demolition work (tree stumps, concrete wall, and about 10 cubic yards of soil to remove), but Matt assured us he would handle it.
Matt kept in touch to ensure we timed the work between storms so we wouldn’t be trapped by a mud pit in our yard, and when we agreed to go, his team was right on time. They made quick work of the demolition and found a way to extract the tougher-than-expected eucalyptus stumps in the way. Excavation, drainage, and reinforcement proceeded quickly, and Matt conferred with me immediately to address any questions or ambiguities that came up along the way. The pour went quickly and smoothly, and together we worked out a good looking way to cut the concrete.
